And that's why I quit trading in-game.

Anything I find that's less than 5k isn't worth my time. Anything that's more goes into storage and eventually on auctions on this site, when i'm not lazy.

let me tell you what will happen after you offered 1 gold its 2 steps if the guy isnt a big jerk:

1. the guy calls you a n00b
2. he starts calling you names

if he is a real big jerk there will be a 3rd part:

3. u see something like " (your name) giving away free items, whisp him for more info"

yeah thats my point! people in kaineng center have no idea what they doin!
they see someone buys zodiac 15^50 req 8 for alot money on guru auction house and think if 15^50 req 8 worths that much a 14^50 req 11 worths maybe a little less! (its perfection of 15^50 that makes rich people pay that much for it, 1 point less than perfect makes a big change in price)
or just cuz a zodiac gone for that price all other skins are going for same price too.
im glad that there are no such things in LA and droks yet (atleast i didnt see any)

Of course he starts calling you names, and you politely keep adding 1 gold to your offer for each name he calls you. You have no idea how much polite ignorance can piss people off.

If you get to #3, whisper the jerk and offer him free stuff. That should set him off.

I presume these are farming the gold that is sold.

One slight thing that pisses me off about trying to sell ingame (which I have done for about 5 items) is that people dont READ the line

e.g. I was selling a Mursaat skinned hornbow req 8 15^50 and after the description I had the price of 100K+30 ectos

EVERY person who expressed an intrest asked what was the price ... ahhh hello its up there on screen.

yerra .. anyway I sold it for 100K+20 ectos (biggest sale ever )

Actaully, just get your whole guild to whisper him annonymously, he'll deserve it :P

Quite often, GwG playes a big role on what the prices are, and looking at the prices of rare skin items on the trade forum, they are in and over the 100k limit^^.

Its funny.Considering most of the skins you actually see look like shit.

Fellblades,Chaos axes,Zodiac Weapons,The Kanaxai weapons..They all look like ass,not to mention, they always have the same shitty mods,Fortitude and Sundering, which makes me Lmao constantly when people think they are the best mods in the game.

Take crystalline for example. Nice skin to me but i'll be damned if i'm paying for one. The joys of the pre-sear crystalline skinned long sword.

Every little 14 year old idiot thinks they can spend 1.5k on a chest and rip out 100k+20 ecto no matter what comes out of that chest. It's not as though other people can't do it too. By rights a perfect item shouldn't be much more than 50k, they come out of chests 1/3 of the time, unless i just have CRAZY luck. But especially zodiac stuff, holy moly, all perfects.

Hey I'm 14 xD (But ofc i'm not like that, infact I only use street market when I HAVE to)... You can't really blame it on the teens, as I bet( well, infact I know) that the older players of guildwars also do this. Anyway, heres my opinion:

People ALWAYS seem to try to refer to guru. For example, I was trying to sell a Kanaxis Axe for 80k. This guy pmed me asking how much- I stated 80k. He said ZOMG YOU NOOB GURU SAYS 35K.

And I'm like wth? Wth did I do to deserve that insult, and why the hell do people always refer to under/over priced websites to satisfy them? I'm not saying there bad, I'm just saying prices fluxulate up and down alot, and a website can never be right. (And yes. Guru is wrong. Kanaxis axe definately isn't 30-40k.)

What i'm trying to say, is, that just because a website 'says' it's priced at something, doesn't mean everyone should go by that. Alot of people(and a big problem in my eyes) in the market today all follow strict-non negotiable price, just because 'they read it on a website'

14 year old moderator el oh el oh el oh el oh el oh el oh el.

Anyway..its sad. These people looking to buy axes for their sins and I offer them the exact same weapon in terms of mods for 1/2 and 1/3 of the price they are paying.

It's quite sad..the only item I ever spent a large sum of gold on was my +15%>50% Broadsword.Which was a skin that I wanted since it..you know..resembles a SWORD...Too bad you can't dye the cloth on the end of the Pommel.

100k+xx Ecto noobs are people who dont have a clue what there item is worth or are greedy. They piss me off as usually there item is shit.

The offer me noobs I love to abuse.
Me: Price?
Offer Noob: Offer
Me: 30k
Offer Noob: Sure
Me: WTS: Item of Uberness 100k + 25 Ectos
Offer Noob: Zomg u %#&£&*$ noob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are complete idiots selling stuff in guild wars. Some sell way way overpriced and some sell way way cheap.

Same goes for selling. People ask you how much something is you give them a price and they say it isnt worth 300k more like 30k >.< Im usually left speachless after such encounters at their complete stupidity.

Occassionaly I like to spam incredibly rare stuff like nerfed items, perfect highly desirable items etc. Some random newb asks to see them then asks for a price and I say something like 5k when it is more like worth 500k and they turn me down making up an exuse like it hasnt got a perfect fortitude mod lol.

And to all those people saying perfect items should never cost more than 50k or 100k or whatever it wont work. When an item is highly desirable and there is low supply it will be worth alot e.g. 15>50 sephis axes.

Stop winging about perf items and hating on those who buy them. I like to own the best and nicest skins around and imperfect quite frankly wont do.

i agree, but u need to inform people in kaineng center what is "highly desirable" and what isnt

when someone says: "WTS victos blade (no noobs)" i read it like "WTS victos blade (dont even think about whisping me if u gonna offer less than 100k)" now even if im intrested in buying a victos blade which i know worths bout 5-6k these days i dont whisper this guy! it just makes your item impossible to sell when u say such things!

Ok, it seems that those " WTS *** for 100k+ XXectos " people have forgotten that there're some accurate threads in the trade forum that can value your rares/mods.

You know, I just realized...

when and if they implement an auction house, it won't remove trade spam because it will probably only handle transactions in gold.

You can get any great looking skinned item for cheap if you just want the skin. Got myself a gemstone axe for 4k. Max damage with some decent mods I can use. If your smart then you can get what you want on a very low budget. As for stats I just bet the collectors versions or cheap greens.

I tried buying a fleshweaver which I know is about 10k. Some idiot tried to stiff me by saying it was 70k. XD Like i'd fall for that.

The funny thing is that there is so many people who know how to price check, yet people don't use them. There is a whole forum on price checking on guru...

Maybe before people sell they should ask somebody, be it a guildie or somone in the alliance, or an experienced friend...

And, yes, people want their favorite skins for their weapons (what else are they gonna buy with all their Ebay gold?)

and to the people who haven't bought a single gold piece off Ebay, when you get that perfect weapon with the perfect skin, you can smile and know you're special
